In Japan, there is a traditional event called “Hinamatsuri” to celebrate the healthy growth and well-being of girls.
One of the symbolic things is to decorate dolls on a tiered platform, but in the past, it was rare for affluent families. Therefore, parents with a desire to celebrate their daughter’s first festival made a small doll with handcrafted old kimonos and connected them with a string, creating a “tsurushi-kazari” decoration.
It runs until March 31st every year.
After visiting Kawazu and the cherry blossoms in the south, please try it!

This custom has been continued since the late Edo period, and Izu Inatori is the birthplace of it. Please take a look.
